More About Us

Our thought process behind starting our business:

When we had our 1st child (Charlotte), we wanted to make every first so special! It all started with her 1/2 birthday party and photo shoot. Mary soon discovered Pinterest and was hooked! Nick got on board, and we truly found a love for party planning.

Every year, Charlotte’s birthday parties became progressively more “over the top” so to say. We loved incorporating new fun ideas, which eventually led to us renting a bounce house for one of her parties. We really loved the modern white inflatables, as they are perfect for any theme.

The bounce house company we hired offered basic white bounce houses, but we wanted more! We came up with the perfect scheme of balloon colors to fit the theme, we added coordinating vinyl lettering and designs. It was the first request this specific company received and they actually began offering these services regularly.

Nick is a retired veteran and stay at home dad, and Mary worked in corporate America for 15 years, but she never experienced as much joy as she has since starting this business with her beloved husband, which is literally expanding by the day. Mary grew up with a grandfather (Legrande Jones) who started his own business with only a 4th grade education, so she was able to see first hand the hard work, as well as the benefits of owning your own business and working for yourself. As they say “Do what you love, and you will never work another day in your life!”

What makes us stand out from our competitors:

What sets us apart from others is that we truly do go above and beyond for our clients. As parents ourselves, we know how important milestones are in life, and we all only live once, right? We both have very creative minds. Nick is very artistic – our daughter must take after him because she won 2nd place out of 533 students in her district in a Pre-K art competition. What Mary loves to do most is party planning and especially various themes. Mary always asks clients to send her inspiration pictures and then she brings them to life (Nick is really good at that part too)!

Even though we have very different personal and professional histories. We think what sets us apart from competitors is our ability to complement each other’s strengths and minimize each other’s weaknesses. We are also always thinking of different offerings for our clients.

Who we would like to recognize for their efforts, support, mentorship, love, and encouragement to:

Mary wants to first recognize her grandfather (Legrande Jones). He worked in clearing and excavating for 20 years before buying all of his own equipment and opening his own business. He diligently worked to save money with the help of her grandmother (Mary Jones), who kept all the books and managed the business. Mary’s grandfather’s courage and work ethic have stuck with her until this day. He always taught her to put the customer first and stand behind your work NO MATTER WHAT.

Nick had many mentors during his 20 year Navy career that developed him as a leader and instilled honesty, hard work ethic, and integrity in him.

Mary would also like to provide a shoutout to all of her mentors along the way from her high school guidance counselor who led her to the resources she needed to eventually receive enough scholarships to pay every penny of her undergraduate degree in Finance. Mary then went on after working five years in corporate America to earn her Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, all while working full-time for Deloitte (one of the big 4 accounting firms in the U.S.). She was able to learn business from some of the best business school educators in the country, and has been able to master all areas of business, making the transition to being a full-time entrepreneur alot easier and fun!
